Convotherm Germany has spent the last three years developing the new 28 model series, which includes electric and gas, boiler and injector versions. The new series combines innovation, modern design, more standard features and robust quality, to enable even better cooking results.
The worldwide launch began in Munich, Germany, at the Hogatec Food Service Exhibition on 25 September. The Australasian launch kicked off in Australia on 25 October and is the largest launch undertaken by Convotherm and Moffat in this part of the world. Launch functions were held in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
Invited guests were treated to an impressive 3D visual presentation followed by the unveiling of the new series.
Speaking at the Auckland launch, Convotherm's managing director, Frank Dittman, said that the 20 additional patent registrations were required in the development, giving some indication of the level of innovation that has gone into the new series. “Our sole purpose has been to provide an even higher level of flexibility and performance to the end user", he said.
The Convotherm +3 OB and OS Series is unique in three ways. Firstly, the Advanced Closed System now features a Crisp "n" Tasty function enabling superior cooking and roasting results, without the loss of energy. Secondly, the once optional disappearing door is now standard on all models, making Convotherm an ideal choice in smaller kitchens where lack of space is an issue. Thirdly, a Press & Go control feature has been added to put consistent results within reach of the non-skilled user.
This Convotherm +3 OB and OS Series offers an extensive choice of options to suit different kitchen sizes and food production. It can also be tailored to suit virtually any requirement.
Moffat's association with Convotherm began in 1984 with the distribution of the first generation Convotherm combi steamers in Australia and New Zealand. In 1987 the two companies signed a license agreement for certain Convotherm models to be manufactured at Moffat’s Christchurch facility.
“The successful partnership between Convotherm and Moffat has been built on trust, hard work and the evolution of the combi steamer market", says Moffat managing director, Greg O’Connell. “That partnership has never been stronger, and together we are committed to the development of more new and innovative products.”
